GLOSSARY
The Speaker
is the Chairperson, chief officer and highest authority of the National Assembly. The one who chairs debates between MPs (person who keeps order and calls MPs to speak during any sitting of the National Assembly). He must be an MP who has been elected to be Speaker by other Members of Parliament.
Act
is a Bill approved by the House and formally agreed to by the President Assent. Once implemented, an Act is law and applies to country. Act of Parliament creates a new law or changes an existing law.
